They tend to overlap, and it depends on the person, but there IS a common distinction that people can use. First anthro is short for anthropomorphic. Which means that its a thing that isnt human with human qualities. So all ‘furry’ characters are anthropomorphic, but not all anthro characters are ‘furries’.18 Nov 2014
